Maruti Suzuki continues to top the chart of the top five most popular cars in India based on the last month's sales numbers. Interestingly, the list includes four Maruti Suzuki models and one Tata SUV. So, let's take a look at the top five best-selling cars during the last month.

The WagonR is priced (ex-showroom) between Rs 5.55 lakh and Rs 7.38 lakh. Notably, in January 2024, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno was the best-selling model in India, with 19,630 units sold.

The interior of the Wagon R is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of headroom and legroom for all passengers. It also gets power windows, a multi-function steering wheel, and a touchscreen infotainment system.

The Punch's major competitor in the domestic market is the Hyundai Exter, while it also rivals the Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
The third spot on the list was claimed by Maruti Suzuki's premium hatchback Baleno. The car manufacturer sold 17,517 units of the model in February this year compared to 18,592 units last year in February, marking a 6 per cent YoY de-growth. The car includes several features, including an auto-dimming IRVM, a 9.0-inch infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and a heads-up display. Furthermore, all variants of the hatchback come standard with automatic climate control. Additionally, like the Swift, the Baleno is powered by a 1.2-litre Dual-Jet petrol engine with similar power and torque ratings. The engine is coupled to a CVT transmission.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire
In February 2024, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire was the fourth most popular passenger car in the nation, with 15,837 units sold compared to 16,798 units during the same time in the previous year, representing a 6 per cent YoY fall in sales. In the upcoming months, the Dzire and its hatchback sibling, the Swift, are expected to receive a significant overhaul, including a new engine, a more upscale interior, and external modifications.
The compact car features an automatic gearshift system (AGS), LED projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, cruise control, auto folding rearview mirrors, and SmartPlay Studio infotainment. Its safety features include two front airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors. Only the AMT variants of the model are offered with hill-hold assistance and electronic stability control (ESC).
Maruti Suzuki Brezza
Taking the last spot on the list is the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, with a total of 15,765 units sold in February. The Brezza stands out as the only SUV on the list that is less than four metres long. The LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi versions of the models are offered with a 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder petrol engine. The CNG-driven Brezza can be had in four variants as well. In January this year, the carmaker sold 15,303 units of the model.
The Brezza's cabin features a dual-tone theme of black and brown. The instrument panel, steering wheel, and 9-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system here are all similar to those of the Baleno. Furthermore, higher trim levels of the model feature Suzuki's connected car technology, an Arkamys surround sound system, an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, a heads-up display, and other features. While the vehicle is offered with dual airbags and ABS, the highest-end model includes six airbags.
