Maruti Suzuki continued to dominate the market in November 2024, surpassing rivals such as Hyundai, Tata Motors, and Mahindra. It sold 1.41 lakh cars, showing an 11.5% drop from the 1.60 lakh units sold during the festive month of October. However, on a year-over-year basis, the company reported a 5.3% rise. Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki’s consistent sales performance every month demonstrates its strong market presence, amidst diverse scenarios. It underscores its leadership in the competitive Indian automotive market. Last month, the company launched the much-awaited Dzire Facelift in India, with prices ranging between Rs 6.79 lakh and Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom).

The car has four variants (LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+), and is available in seven colours (Bluish Black, Arctic White, Gallant Red, Splendid Silver, Nutmeg Brown, Magma Grey, and Alluring Blue). It is now equipped with a new 1.2-litre Z Series naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine that can be either mated to a five-speed manual or an AMT transmission.
Hyundai
Hyundai sold more than 48,246 cars in November 2024, maintaining its second position on the list. Compared to the 49,451 units sold in November of the previous year, this represents a 2.4% year-on-year decrease. Additionally, it exhibits a 13.2% MoM decline. Hyundai India's model range consists of the Ioniq 5 EV, the Grand i10 Nios, the i20, the sportier i20 N Line, Aura, Verna, Tucson, Alcazar, Creta, Creta N Line, and Exter. For those unaware, the Tucson recently obtained a 5-star rating by the Bharat NCAP.
Tata Motors
Tata Motors secured the third position on the sales chart in November 2024, with 47,063 units sold. While the company experienced a slight dip of 2.2% compared to the October sales, it saw a positive year-on-year growth of the same 2.2%. This consistent performance highlights Tata Motors' strong market presence and steady demand for its vehicles.
Mahindra
Mahindra dropped from the third spot in October 2024 to fourth in November. With 46,222 units, it experienced a strong 15.6% year-over-year rise. However, there was a 15.2% decline in the month-over-month sales.
Toyota
In November 2024, Toyota sold 25,183 vehicles, marking a 10.5% decrease from its October sales. It experienced a remarkable 48.8% growth compared to November 2023, the highest year-on-year increase among all automakers on this list.
