Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki was the best-selling car brand in June 2024. It sold more than 1.37 lakh units, representing a YoY rise of 3.1%. The new Swift, one of the automaker's key car launches this year, was the second best-selling car for the month, selling 16,422 units. Also, last month, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Baleno were among the top five best-sellers, with 15,902 and 14,895 units sold, respectively. Let's look at other car brands that joined Maruti Suzuki on the sales chart last month.
Hyundai
Hyundai emerged as the second best-selling car brand in June 2024, with 50,103 vehicles sold. The automaker saw 0.2% growth in both year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) sales. Its Creta SUV was the third best-selling car last month. It sold over 16,000 units, marking a YoY growth of 12.78%.

Tata Motors
Tata Motors joined the Korean manufacturer on the list as the third automaker to post the highest number of sales in the previous month. It delivered 43,527 units, which was a YoY de-growth of 7.9%. However, the automaker's Punch SUV was the best-selling car in June, outperforming several models like the Creta, Baleno, and Mahindra Scorpio. The SUV that comes in both ICE and electric variants recorded sales of 18,238 units.
Mahindra
Mahindra secured its position on the list of the top five best-selling car brands. Its year-on-year sales rose by almost 23% despite a fall in MoM sales of over 2%. The Mahindra Scorpio/N from the automaker ranked ninth on the chart of top-selling cars in the previous month. With 12,307 units sold, the SUV registered a YoY increase of 42.31%.
Toyota
Toyota sold 25,752 vehicles last month, showing a 41% increase over the previous year. It also experienced a 31% increase in month-on-month sales, selling 18,237 units. The Fronx-based Urban Cruiser Taisor was one of Toyota's major launches this year. It is currently priced between Rs 7.74 lakh and Rs 13.04 lakh (both, ex-showroom, Delhi).

Kia, Honda, MG, Renault, and Volkswagen were the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth best-selling automakers, respectively, in June 2024.
