Porsche has recently pulled the covers off the one-off 911 Turbo. The new sports car is the German manufacturer's homage to the original 911 Turbo model introduced in 1975. It was at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show that Porsche unveiled the very first 911 about 60 years ago, and this special 911 Turbo will be a great tribute to this iconic 911.
This one-off Porsche 911 Turbo is a product of the collaboration between Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Porsche Middle East and Africa regional office with support of the colleagues from Heritage & Museum. This particular model is unique, in the sense that it draws inspiration from the legendary 911 Turbo Nr. 1, which was a special commission from Louise Piech (daughter of automotive pioneer Ferdinand Porsche), and was given to her for her 70th birthday.
One-Off Porsche 911 Turbo: Exterior, Interior
Painted in silver with a distinctive red interior embellished with Tartan fabric handpicked by Piech, the bespoke 911 Turbo features a narrow-chassis 911 Carrera body and a large Turbo rear wing. Other bits include five-spoke wheels with a polished chrome outer ring, black paint on the door handles, a Turbo emblem at the back, and black-and-red 'Porsche' lettering on the doors and side panels.
One-Off Porsche 911 Turbo: Powertrain
Mechanically, the bespoke 911 Turbo continues with the same 3.8 litre, twin-turbocharged, flat-six engine with direct injection technology. This engine cranks out 564bhp and 750Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The very first Porsche 911, meanwhile, came powered by a 2.7-litre turbocharged engine with 256bhp compared to the later models powered by a larger 3.0-litre unit. Launched in 1975 as a powerful version of the Porsche 911, the first series-produced 911 Turbo had a 3.0-litre turbocharged engine, a widebody kit, and a huge fixed rear wing. Nicknamed 930, the 911 Turbo has been the top-of-the-range model in the 911 model lineup since its launch.

One-Off Porsche 911 Turbo: What the Company Has to Say?
Patrick Gallas, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Manager, Porsche Middle East and Africa, said, "The initial idea for this project began a year ago".
"We wanted to create a modern iteration of a car that was truly unique. Luckily for us, there is no shortage of Porsche cars that people label as icons. We elected to ‘remaster’ one of the greatest icons of them all – the original 911 Turbo that belonged to Louise Piech."
