Italian manufacturer Maserati had introduced the Quattroporte (first generation) about 61 years ago in 1963. It has now unveiled the Quattroporte Grand Finale, which is in the sixth generation, and as the name suggests, is the last Quattroporte. The Maserati Quattroporte Grand Finale also marks the end of the company's 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine in the Quattroporte.

In the Quattroporte Grand Finale, the 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine develops 572bhp/730Nm and is housed in a custom engine cover signed by the Fuoriserie team and the engineers who worked on the vehicle. The Fuoriserie treatment has been meted out to the exterior too. The Maserati Quattroporte Grand Finale features a Blu Nobile colour with a carbon-fibre body kit finished in the same tone, while the brake callipers are made of brushed aluminium. Another highlight is the identification number '999999' imprinted on the windscreen as well as inside the driver's door.

The next-generation Quattroporte, which is expected to come exclusively with electric power, is in the works. Given that the final decision on the platform has yet to be taken, the new electric Quattroporte is not expected to be launched before 2028. At launch, the model will be smaller in size than the existing version.

Alongside the Quattroporte Grand Finale, Maserati has delivered the MC20 Iris to its American customer, again a bespoke model from the Fuoriserie team. This model is finished in a unique AI Aqua Rainbow paint. The same hue applies to the stitching and leather inserts on the inside. Under the hood, the Iris gets a stock 3.0-litre, twin-turbo, Nettuno V6 engine, making 621bhp.
