Peugeot has revealed the next generation of the 308 online. The 308 is based on the PSA developed EMP2 platform and is now shorter when compared to its predecessor. Peugeot says that they have made the 308 up to 140 kgs lighter and have also worked on its CO2 emissions.

The front-end design of the Peugeot 308 is much sharper and sportier now and some of the design cues come straight from the much smaller 208. Peugeot has used the ‘i-cockpit’ philosophy inside with regards to the steering wheel / heads-up instrument cluster as seen in the 208 and then there is a large 9.7-inch touchscreen on the centre console.

The Peugeot 308 will be produced in Sochaux, France and will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motorshow come September.
