The Nissan Friend-ME concept made its debut at the Shanghai Motor show but don’t be afraid the car looks and is way better and interesting than its name. The prototype is aimed, according to Nissan, at “balinghuo” - young people in their 20’s and 30’s specifically males. It also says that it is "designed for a generation with a very different automotive outlook"

It borrows a lot from its cousins design wise - like the boomerang shaped headlamps which are seen on the 370Z and even the front grille which is similar to the Resonance concept SUV Nissan showcased at the Detroit Motor show recently.

We are sure it won’t enter production but it has everything that the current generation would appreciate and want to have in a car – internet connectivity on the move with social media applications and smartphone and tablet compatibility. It also gets four bucket seats so no one has to share his/her space with anyone.

It looks sporty and has some awesome features like the one where if one passenger sees something ‘cool’ on his or her smartphone or tablet they can share it onto common screen in the car so everyone can see it. According to Nissan, this kind of interaction is part of this generation’s family as well as friend circle. The Nissans Friend-ME concept thus works on the paradigm created by the young blood which has become a slave to technology.
