The third Lamborghini, which was introduced as the Urus at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show, will be introduced to different markets worldwide in 2018.

Automobili Lamborghini has broken its silence over its latest offering to the world. The latest car from the Italian carmaker will not be a sportscar like the Aventador or the Huracan, instead it will be an SUV. Yes, it is the same SUV that Lamborghini showcased at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show as a concept known as Urus.

The SUV, name of which can be changed by the time it is production ready, will be manufactured in Bologna, Italy. This realisation has happened due to the decision the Italian Ministry of Economic  Development, Automobili Lamborghini and the Volkwagen Group have taken together.

For the development of the new product at the Lamborghini headquarters in Bologna the facility will go through some rigorous changes. The size of the facility will be increased to 1,50,000 sq. metres from the existing 80,000 sq. metres. The new area will house some new additions like a new production line, a warehouse, and enlargement of the existing R&D facility. This development will also allow Lamborghini to hire 500 new employees.
