The new Jaguar XFR-S made its global debut on the famous Goodwood Hill yesterday. Finished in Italian racing red, the prototype version of Jaguar’s fastest ever sports saloon was driven by 1988 Le Mans 24 hr race winner, Andy Wallace. First showcased at the LA Auto Show in November 2012, the new XFR-S has got more than what meets the eye.
The new XFR-S gets the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine which is capable of 542 bhp, close to 40bhp more than the XFR while torque figures are up by 55Nm which adds up to 680 Nm. The XFR-S is now capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and Jaguar has electronically limited the top speed to 300km/h.
