The final of the LaFerrari Aperta is set to be auctioned off to aid the Save the Children charity.
At the Paris Motor Show last year, Ferrari debuted the drop top version of their exclusive hybrid hypercar, the Ferrari LaFerrari. Ferrari confirmed the time that only 210 units of the convertible hyper car will be produced.
For thier 70th Anniversary, Ferrari have decided to auction of the final model, which will roll off the production line in Maranello, in order to raise money to benefit the ‘Save the Children’ charity. The auction is said to take place on September 9, during RM Sotheby's "leggenda e Passione" sale at the manufacturer’s test track in Fiorano.
As every LaFerrari is said to be exclusive and tailor made to the customer, the final model which will be auctioned off will have its own bespoke livery. Ferrari will give the final LaFerrari Aperta a metallic Rosso Fuoco base exterior paint with a metallic Bianco Italia dual stripes which run from the front of the bonnet over to the rear of the car. The interior of this particular model will have the usual alcantara and glossy black carbon fibre trims with leather inserts on the seats with red contrast stitching.
At the heart of the LaFerrari Aperta is a 6.3-litre, naturally aspirated V12 engine which is complimented by a HY-KERS unit. With their powers combined, the LaFerrari has a maximum power output of 950bhp and over 900Nm of torque.
The proceeds from the auctioning of the final Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta will be donated to Save the Children to be used for an international education programme.
