Massachusetts-based company Terrafugia announced that it is working on a concept for a four-seater vehicle with motorised rotors , which means that it can FLY! The best part about it is that it doesn’t the need a runway to take-off.

The Transition was Terrafugia’s first flying car  concept but this one, dubbed TF-X, will be capable of a vertical take-off and it requires only 30 metres of space to do it in. Ideal for urban traffic conditions, the vehicle's wings and rotors are designed to fold into the side of the car when on the road. In fact it is also small enough to park in a standard-sized garage.

Once in the air, the Terrafugia TF-X is expected to be able to fly nonstop for 804 kms. Another good thing here is that the driver does not require a flying license for one of these. In fact, once in the air, the TF-X will shift into automatic mode and fly on its own. A prototype of the aircraft is expected within eight to 12 years.
