Tata packs in 10 new features on the XMS variant of the Zest anniversry edition to celebrate its one year anniversary
In the build up towards the upcoming festive season, Tata Motors is the latest car maker to offer a festive offering in the form of the Tata Zest special anniversary edition. The model has also been launched to commemorate the first anniversary of the Tata Zest in India since its launch on the 12th of August 2014 in India.
In order to celebrate one year in India, this Tata Zest special edition packs in 10 new features that can be specified on the mid-level XMS variant of the Zest. This can be done at an additional cost of Rs. 15,000 over that of the standard car. Tata states that the market price of all these accessories put together results in a total figure of Rs. 31,000. So a saving of Rs 16,000 can be made in that case, should you be wanting these added frills on your Zest.
Let’s then take a look at what an anniversary edition Tata Zest packs in for the additional sum. Well for starters, there is a new ‘Vocal White’ shade for this limited edition Zest. The car also gets anniversary theme body graphics, an anniversary edition badge on the C-pillar, piano black ORVM casings, the lower section of the front bumper is now painted in the body colour of the car and there are new wheel covers to set this anniversary editon apart from the outside.
Inside, Tata has spruced things up for the Zest anniversary edition with illuminated scuff plates at the front, bottle holder on the floor console, there is anniversary edition embroidery on the front seats and more importantly, there is a powered rear curtain with a remote for it.
The petrol powered Tata Zest XMS anniversary edition is priced at Rs. 5.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the diesel fueled Tata Zest XMS anniversary edition retails at Rs. 6.94 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
