The recently introduced Tiago NRG i-CNG is available in two variants – the XT and XZ.
Tata Motors has officially launched the CNG version of the Tiago NRG at a starting price of ₹7.4 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant is ₹90,000 more expensive than its petrol counterpart. With the debut of the Tiago NRG i-CNG, the firm has expanded its CNG product line in the country. The new variant is available in five colour options – Midnight Plum, Flame Red, Arizona Blue, Opal White, and Daytona Grey. The XT edition is priced at ₹7.4 lakh, while the XZ variant costs ₹7.8 lakh. Both figures are ex-showroom.
In terms of powertrain, the Tiago NRG i-CNG has a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine under its hood, which produces 72bhp and 95Nm of peak torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The car comes with several features, including a height-adjustable driver seat, an engine start-stop button, an eight-speaker surround sound system, a cooled glove box, a fully digital instrument display, and steering-mounted controls.
The exterior of the Tata Tiago NRG i-CNG features dual-tone alloy wheels, black body cladding all around, new faux skid plates at the front and rear, a black roof, ORVMs, roof rails, fog lights, and black plastic cladding on the tailgate.
For safety reasons, the Tiago iCNG is able to switch immediately from CNG to petrol mode in case of a gas leak. Both models come with significant safety equipment, including dual airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), corner stability control, a rear parking assistance sensor, and more as standard.
