The much-awaited Red Dark Editions of the Safari, the Harrier, and the Nexon have been officially launched in India. The prices of the Safari and the Harrier SUVs start at Rs 22.61 lakh and Rs 21.77 lakh respectively, and they even get ADAS functionality as standard now, amongst other equipment upgrades. Whereas the Tata Nexon Red Edition stands at an introductory price of Rs 12.35 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). The launch of the new editions happened at a time when the leading carmaker was facilitating access to the updated iterations of the Harrier and the Safari that will go on sale in March 2023. The bookings for the Red Dark Edition SUVs have been commenced at an initial amount of Rs 30,000. Interested buyers can book their SUVs online or at their nearest authorised Tata dealerships.

Tata Safari and Harrier Red Dark Editions
The Red Dark Editions of the Tata Safari and the Harrier come packed with a new 17.78-cm digital TFT instrument cluster, a 6-way powered driver seat with memory function, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, and 200+ voice commands in 6 different languages.
Besides, the new cars get new interiors with safety features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree surround camera, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology. The ADAS tech includes forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, rear collision warning, making the Safari and Harrier to be the first cars in the Tata lineup to have this safety suite.
Moreover, the Safari cranks up a notch with add-ons like a 4-way powered Co-Driver seats with electric Boss mode and Majestic sunroof with mood lighting.
Going into their mechanicals, the Red Dark Editions of the Safari and the Harrier use the same 2.0-litre diesel engine, which generates 170bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Red Dark Editions
The new Red Dark Editions are offered in Oberon Black exteriors with Zircon Red accents. They sport R18 Charcoal Black alloys with 'Dark' logo on the fenders. The new Red Dark range is further enriched with a larger 26.03-cm Infotainment screen, ADAS tech, and an all-new Adaptive User Interface.

As expected, the all-new models receive cosmetic improvements such as Carnelian Red leatherette upholstery with a quilted pattern, red accents on the front grille, ventilated front seats, red brake callipers, red grab handles, red ambient lighting, and Piano Black accents on steering wheel, console and doors.
The Tata Safari, Harrier and Nexon Red Dark Editions are powered by Bharat Standard 6 Phase-II compliant engines.
Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition
The Nexon Red Dark Edition gets an all-black (Bold Oberon Black) exterior with Zircon red accents on the front grille. It is the recent addition to the Red Dark lineup. Underpinned by the top-spec XZ+ Lux variant, the new Nexon receives tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), wireless charger, in-built air purifier, cruise control, connected car tech, and more.

As anticipated, the Nexon Red Dark Edition carry forward the same powertrain. The compact SUV continues to have a 108bhp, 1.2-litre diesel engine, and a 118bhp, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
