The Tata Punch will be launched in India by the end of this month. The deliveries of the new micro SUV are expected to commence by the festive season next month.
Earlier today, Tata revealed its newest product for the Indian market, the Punch. The Tata Punch is pitched in the market as a micro SUV, and the Punch will be the most affordable SUV in the Indian carmaker’s lineup.
Tata has now announced that the Punch will be launched in India on October 20, 2021. The deliveries are expected to commence by the festive season. Interested buyers can book the Tata Punch via the company’s virtual showroom for a token of Rs 21,000.
The Tata Punch mainly rivals the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. The Ignis has been priced between Rs 5.10 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices of the Tata Punch are likely to start from Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. The Punch will be offered in four variants, out of which three will be offered with an optional automatic transmission.
The Tata Punch gets a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, and there is no diesel drivetrain available with the new micro SUV. The gearbox options are a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT. The power figure of the Tata Punch is at par with the segment at 84.8bhp and 113Nm.
Some of the features include 16-inch alloy wheels, push-button start, height-adjustable seats, and a seven-inch infotainment system by Harman.
