With most cars now meeting stricter BS6 Phase II or RDE norms, one can expect auto manufacturers to demand a premium over the outgoing models. This was one of the reasons for a price hike by Tata Motors in February 2023, leaving some room for another round of price increase later this year. Besides, the company also reportedly discontinued 26 variants of the Harrier and the Safari. Interestingly, the updated versions of the Punch, the Nexon, the Altroz, the Tiago, and the Tigor are now claimed to offer improved fuel efficiency or mileage, thereby helping people save for tomorrow. The increased mileage ranges from 0.60km/l to 2.40km/l across the petrol and diesel variants.
