The Tata Punch has been a best-seller for the brand, available in a variety of powertrain options, including electric and CNG. At the recent Auto Expo, Tata Motors expanded the Punch lineup with a new— Flex-Fuel version. While the launch of the SUV isn’t confirmed yet, the move shows the company’s commitment to eco-friendly solutions. The Punch Flex-Fuel keeps the same design as the standard model, with no significant changes inside or out. The main update, however, lies under the hood, with the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, now modified to run on ethanol-blended fuels.

The introduction of Flex-Fuel technology has long been a way for automakers to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. (the same engine found in the Hyundai Venue 1.0 and i20). However, this engine has been specially tuned to run solely on ethanol, without any petrol blend, ensuring smooth performance.
