A test mule of the Tata Punch facelift has recently been spotted on the road, and photographs of the same have been posted online. The spy pictures show major alterations to the SUV's front, which looks sharper than the existing version. Tata Motors' 5-seater SUV is likely to receive updated headlights, modified DRLs, a fresh grille design, upgraded front as well as rear bumpers, improved alloy rims, altered taillights, and more. Following the redesign, the SUV is expected to come equipped with four-disc brakes on all wheels, as opposed to the current model, which only has them on the front. In terms of the interior, the facelift model will likely gain a new steering wheel with the lighted Tata logo,—a feature that is now present in practically all Tata vehicles, including the Punch.ev.
Although there is currently no official notification, we can anticipate the local carmaker to add certain features from the recently introduced electrified Punch into the upcoming ICE version. The amenities consist of a 360-degree parking camera, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a larger 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an air purifier, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and more.
Tata Punch Facelift: Mechanical Details
The SUV is probably going to stay the same underneath, which means that the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine will still be offered. This motor produces 85bhp and 113Nm, mated to either an AMT gearbox or a five-speed manual gearbox. The SUV is also available in a CNG variant, which produces 73bhp and 103Nm with solely a 5-speed manual transmission.

Tata Motors is anticipated to launch the new version of the Punch towards the end of this year. With major cosmetic and feature upgrades, the upcoming facelift model will likely command a huge premium over the current version, which retails between Rs 6.13 lakh and Rs 10.20 lakh in India (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
In a recent development, the manufacturer announced a major investment of Rs 9,000 crore in Tamil Nadu to establish a vehicle manufacturing facility. The massive investment will be made over five years and is expected to create 5,000 jobs.
