It is no longer a secret that Tata Motors is preparing an electric Punch for India, thanks to several spy photos that have emerged online. Before its launch, the EV has once more been caught on camera while being plugged into the charger. The Punch EV's charging connection is located in the front, according to spy photos. The future electric vehicle will largely resemble the gasoline-powered model in terms of appearance, but the grille and bumper are anticipated to have EV-specific details, similar to what we've seen on other electric models produced by Tata Motors. Although there has been no official announcement from the company to date, market reports indicate that Tata Motors may introduce the EV by the end of the year. Upon launch, the new electric vehicle will face competition from models such as the Citroen eC3, the MG Comet, and more.

Tata Punch EV: Recent Spy Shots Highlights
The most recent spy photos demonstrate a front-mounted charging outlet that is situated right beneath the grille. Up until this point, Tata EVs' charging ports were built into the existing petrol filling cap. With squared-off wheel arches and rear door handles positioned on the C-pillar, the forthcoming electric version of the Punch continues the sturdy appearance. Overall, the EV model appears to be identical to the petrol-powered Punch. Although there is no official information, industry reports suggest that the electric Punch model may have a brand-new, unique alloy wheel design. Additionally, a redesigned 2-spoke steering wheel, first seen on the Curvv concept, is anticipated to be included.
Tata Punch EV: Powertrain
The new EV will sit on the ALFA platform, unlike the other electric cars by the brand. Tata's Ziptron powertrain, which incorporates a liquid-cooled battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor driving the front wheels, is most likely to be employed in the forthcoming EV. Additionally, the EV's stated driving range is anticipated to be between 300 and 350 kilometres.

The feature list of the upcoming EV is likely to consist of a touchscreen system, automated headlights, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, reversing camera, up to six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and more.
