Tata Power has set up 1,000 EV charging stations in the nation and has installed over 10,000 home chargers so far.

Tata Power has reported that the firm has completed the installation of 1,000 electric vehicles (EV) charging stations in India. With the first charger being installed in Mumbai, Tata Power now has 1,000 charging stations across 180 cities in India. The EV chargers are mainly located close to office areas, malls, hotels, retail outlets, and other public places. Additionally, the company has also set up over 10,000 home chargers for EV owners.

The firm also plans on expanding the total number of EV charging stations to 10,000, covering national highways and making cross-country travel for EVs a lot easier. This plan will also help reduce the infamous range anxiety of EV owners. Tata Power charging station can be located via the Tata Power EZCharge smartphone app.

Tata Power is also working together with TVS Motors to expand its charging facilities for two-wheelers and three-wheelers.

So far, Tata Motors has a total of three EVs in its portfolio – the Nexon EV, Tigor EV, and Xpres-T, which will be joined soon by the Tata Altroz EV. Tata Motors has plans to introduce nine more EVs by 2025. Going by the way the firm is developing its infrastructure, it seems that Tata is committed to offering its EV owners/drivers a hassle-free experience. All this will also benefit other EV owners in the country.
