In just five years, Tata Motors has managed to sell four lakh units of the Nexon!
The Tata Nexon was the first Indian car built by an indigenous carmaker to get a 5-star safety rating, and the SUV has refused to look back since then. In the five years since it was first launched in India, it has found more than 4 lakh takers, making it quite a successful product for Tata Motors. To mark this occasion, Tata Motors has launched a new XZ+ (L) variant of the Nexon.
Its price starts at Rs 11.38 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol-manual powertrain combination, and in the grand scheme of things, it slots below the XZ+ (P) variant of the Nexon and gets a host of feature upgrades over the regular XZ+ variant.
You get ventilated front seats, leatherette seat covers, wireless smartphone charging, an auto-dimming IRVM, an air purifier, connected car tech, a valet mode, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a gear knob, and a tyre pressure monitoring system over the XZ+ variant. The only thing you miss out on and might probably want is a sunroof.
As far as its place in the segment goes, the Nexon continues to enjoy a strong presence against the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV300.
