The new Tata Nexon's launch is not very far away. In fact, as reported earlier, the updated version of the SUV will go on sale in the Indian market on September 14, alongside its electric derivative. Given that this is the second facelift for the Nexon SUV, it is expected to set the template for the Harrier and the Safari facelift models, which are due to arrive in the country in the coming months. The compact SUV – the Nexon – will sport major changes to the exterior and interior. These include split headlamps, a full-width LED taillight, new LED DRLs with sequential lighting elements, a slimmer grille, and a modified front bumper. On the sides, the model largely resembles the existing version, but it will come with brand-new alloy wheels. The rear end is also majorly redone, with the forthcoming car receiving a new bumper with a pair of reflectors and reverse lights, a revised tailgate, and altered LED tail lights with an LED light bar. In addition, roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, turn indicators on the ORVM, and a sunroof are also likely on the cards.

Meanwhile, the interior of the updated Nexon SUV will incorporate a two-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo, a floating 10.25-inch touchscreen, a new digital instrument cluster, touch-based HVAC controls, thinner AC vents, etc.

However, the car will continue to feature the same rotary drive mode selector, manual handbrake, and door panels as before. Even, its dashboard will be available with the same dual-tone, textured finish.

Tata Nexon Facelift: Variants

According to some market sources, Tata Motors has decided to keep its new Nexon model away from the usual nomenclature. So, the upcoming version will be offered in the following trims: Smart, Smart+, Smart+ (S), Pure+, Pure+ (S), Creative, Creative+, Creative+ (S), Fearless, Fearless (S), and Fearless+ (S). Some trims are familiar and some are new – Smart and Fearless. The '+' here denotes that the Nexon facelift will get optional packages with additional features on each trim, while (S) suggests the presence of a sunroof, although a single-pane unit.
