Tata Motors has unveiled the new Nexon facelift in India, marking an important update to the popular Nexon compact SUV since its initial introduction in 2017. The new Nexon facelift aims to further consolidate its position as the undisputed leader in the congested sub-compact SUV market with a significantly revised exterior and a completely redesigned interior. The new Nexon will begin accepting bookings on September 4th, 2023. A few aspects of the CURVV concept are still present in the compact SUV, which displays the automaker's modern design philosophy. The new Tata Nexon facelift is equipped with a full LED lighting system, including sequential LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and a connected-type taillamp. Within the interior, the capacious cabin accommodates contrasting indigo-coloured accents adorning the understated dashboard design. Tata Motors is scheduled to introduce the Nexon facelift in the Indian market on September 14th.
Tata Nexon Facelift: Design
Tata Motors has preserved the overall structure of the Nexon model while undertaking a comprehensive overhaul of the car's front and rear sections. This redesign aims to infuse the vehicle with a renewed aesthetic appeal that aligns harmoniously with the design principles seen across other models within the Tata Motors portfolio.

The new Nexon facelift exhibits a completely revamped frontal appearance, characterised by a split headlamp cluster with novel LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) that seamlessly integrate with the front grille. This car's appearance appears rather modern and futuristic and bears little resemblance to the tri-arrow shape of the pre-facelift Nexon. A new kind of alloy wheel is added to the profile. Furthermore, it maintains the original design elements of the wheel arches and shoulder lines. The back of the vehicle exhibits a distinct aesthetic transformation, with interconnected LED tail lamps that exhibit a Y-shaped configuration at both extremities. The rear bumper and tailboard have undergone a revision. The rear of the 2023 Nexon has a more robust appearance.
Tata Nexon Facelift: Interior
Internally, there have been significant alterations. The inside of the 2023 Nexon has been updated to have a redesigned dashboard and a new 2-spoke steering wheel design, which includes an LED-backlit logo representing Tata Motors. Both the infotainment system and the instrument cluster have been entirely redesigned. The infotainment system, air vents, and buttons have all been moved around the dashboard. The vehicle's central armrest and wireless charging station, however, look the same as they did before.
The top-spec Fearless Plus S is the only vehicle to offer features like ventilated front seats, connected car technology, a 9-speaker audio system, and a touchscreen infotainment system with a thin bezel. However, vehicles with 360-degree cameras, front parking sensors, blind view monitors, and cruise control are available starting with the Creative Plus model.
Tata Nexon Facelift: Safety
Tata Motors would want to keep safety as one of the top priorities for the Nexon as it has in the past. In addition to the standard safety equipment included in today's Nexon models, the 2023 model year SUV comes standard with a 360-degree camera that provides a bird ' s-eye view of its surroundings and makes parallel parking and manoeuvring in confined areas much easier. It is expected that the updated Nexon will maintain its previous 5-star NCAP safety certification in the upcoming Bharat NCAP testing. The specifics have yet to be released.
Tata Nexon Facelift: Engine
As anticipated, the next iteration of the Nexon is retaining the engine options from its predecessor. Prospective purchasers will have the option to choose from two engine variants: a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine generating 118bhp and 170Nm of torque, or a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 113bhp and 260Nm of torque. Both engines will provide manual and automated manual transmissions (AMT), while the turbo-petrol variant now also has a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic as an alternative transmission option. And for those who really want to get behind the wheel, the dual-clutch gearbox will come with paddle shifters.
