A camouflaged test mule of the Nexon compact SUV has been spotted on Indian roads. Recently, Tata Motors was in the headlines for bringing the facelift version of the well-liked Nexon to India. Now, the much-anticipated facelift model has been caught being tested, and its images have surfaced on the internet, revealing design elements of the SUV. No official confirmation has come from Tata Motors regarding the Nexon Facelift's India launch. But considering the spied images, we believe that the carmaker will soon uncloak the model for our market. In terms of improvement, the upcoming Nexon SUV will have an updated interior, an equipment kit, and more. Moreover, a new powertrain option could also be available. The updated Tata Nexon will likely get design elements of the Curvv SUV, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023.
Tata Nexon Facelift: Design
The grille now sports a two-part design with diamond-shaped insets on the lower section, similar to that of the Curvv ICE concept. The overall shape of the 2024 Tata Nexon mirrors the Lexus model. The main headlamp cluster is expected to be located on the bumper, and a full-width LED light bar is likely to sit atop the taller, flatter nose, similar to that of the Curvv concept. The Tata logo will be located in a large recess, below the light bar. Also, the front bumper is expected to have more creases and cuts, similar to the Curvv concept.
A connecting piece, visible through the camouflage, which is probably an LED light bar, is also apparent at the rear, where the taillamps also appear to be entirely new with a much sharper and slimmer design. The rear bumper and tailgate feature smoother surfaces than the current model. While it gets new alloy wheels, the revised Nexon's silhouette is mostly unaltered.

Tata Nexon Facelift: Mechanical Details
According to reports, a new-gen 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which Tata previewed with the Curvv ICE concept at the 2023 Auto Expo, will power the updated Tata Nexon. This engine will likely replace the Nexon's existing 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which generates 118bhp and 170Nm. The new engine will reportedly offer 123bhp and 225Nm. The 1.5-litre diesel engine, capable of producing 110hp, is likely to remain in place. It is still unknown if the Nexon's manual and AMT transmission options will alter with the new petrol engine.

No images of the Nexon 2024's interior have surfaced on the Internet yet. However, industry rumours suggest the model features a revised dashboard with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen. This infotainment screen was just introduced by Tata Motors on the Harrier and Safari, and it's likely to be available across the entire line-up.
