Tata Motors has given significant updates to its popular Nexon EV. One among them is a 45kWh battery pack that claims a near-real-world driving range (C75) of 350–370km, while the ARAI-claimed figure is rated for 489km. Priced from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 (ex-showroom), the Nexon EV with the 45kWh battery is available in Creative, Fearless, Empowered, and Empowered+ variants. At the said starting price, the Nexon EV is now more affordable than the one with a smaller 40.5kWh battery. The latter ranges from Rs 14.59 lakh to Rs 16.29 lakh (ex-showroom) and is offered in Fearless, Fearless+, Fearless+ S, and Empowered+ variants.
The other battery option of 30kWh is also available with the Nexon EV, which you can buy for a price of Rs 12.49 lakh (starting price, ex-showroom). With the 45kWh battery-powered Nexon EV, Tata offers a front-wheel drive electric motor that makes 143bhp and 215Nm. The new battery is 15 per cent more dense than the 40kWh unit, and its charging time (0-80%) is a claimed 40 minutes with a 60kW fast charger.
Tata Nexon EV: New Features
Another update is in the form of new feature additions. These are a panoramic sunroof as well as a frunk offering more space. Other bits include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, cruise control, vehicle-to-load charging tech, ABS, a 360-degree camera, and six airbags.
Tata Nexon EV Red Dark Edition: What's New?
Aside from these updates, Tata has introduced a new Red Dark Edition version of the Nexon EV. At Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom), the Nexon EV Red Dark Edition is Rs 20,000 more expensive than the Empowered+ 45kWh variant. The Red Dark Edition has a Carbon Black colour on the outside, along with gloss black accents and 16-inch black alloy wheels.

Inside, the Nexon EV Red Dark Edition features a black-red theme. It also brings in a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, like the newly launched Nexon EV 45kWh. Based on the Empowered+ 45kWh, the Red Dark is equipped with a 45kWh battery pack.
