Tata Nexon EV Facelift: Powertrain

The updated Tata Nexon EV is offered in Medium-Range and Long-Range versions, corresponding to the Prime and Max variants sold earlier. Mechanically, the facelifted model continues to be offered with two battery sizes – a 30.2kWh for the Nexon MR and a 40.5kWh for the Nexon LR. The former produces 127bhp and 215Nm of peak torque, while the latter generates 141bhp and 215Nm of torque. Tata has equipped the car with a new Gen2 permanent magnet synchronous motor, which is said to be lighter, cleaner, and more efficient.

The MR and the LR yield a driving range of 325km (MIDC) and 465km (MIDC) on a single charge, respectively. Both variants support 7.2kWh fast charging, while also offering a vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle charging function for the first time. Tata says that the electric derivative can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 8.9 seconds and tops out at 150km/h, thanks to better aerodynamics.

Tata Nexon EV Facelift: Features

A dual-tone cream-and-black interior theme gives the cabin a premium appeal. To cater to the diverse customer needs, 4 voice assistants – Hey Tata, Amazon Alexa, Hey Siri, and OK Google – are offered. The upgraded Tata's ZConnect now offers 64+ features, including a remote control car function. For driving aids, there are paddle shifters and smart digital shifters.
