Tata's grand presence at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020 will be highlighted by 4 global unveilings and 14 commercial and 12 passenger vehicles display.
Shortly after Volkswagen India announced an SUV onslaught for the 2020 Auto Expo, Tata Motors has also announced its plans for India's premier motor show. The main highlight of the announcement is that Tata will reveal four new models (global debut) and will have 12 passenger vehicles on display. Moreover, starting this month, Tata will also start the rollout of its BS-VI products, the first of which will be the Tata Altroz (launch on 22nd January).
As for the four new models, we've already had a glimpse of them at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, in Concept form. Now, expect Tata to pull the wraps off the production version of the compact SUV based on the H2X Concept. This will sit just below the Nexon in the line-up. Also on display will be the Altroz, the seven-seat version of the Harrier - Tata Gravitas and the Nexon EV. Speaking of EVs, the Altroz EV is likely to accompany the Nexon EV at the 2020 Auto Expo. There have also been rumours that Tata will present an automatic version of the Harrier with a few more additional goodies (like a panoramic sunroof). Expect it to be present at the 2020 Auto Expo as well.
Another significant point of focus will be Tata's connected car technology, keeping in mind that their pavilion's theme for this edition of the Auto Expo is 'Connected India: Responsible & Sustainable Mobility Solutions'.
