Tata cars and SUVs will soon become more expensive. The firm has released an official notice stating the reason for a price increase.
Tata Motors has announced that its products will see a price increase, effective from January 2022. So far, we have not received the new price lists of products; however, we suspect the price increase will be between 2.5 per cent and 4 per cent of the current pricing.
Tata has attributed the price hike to the increased costs of raw materials. Increased costs of factors such as logistics and other inputs are also responsible for making Tata cars and SUVS dearer to customers from next month onwards.
Weeks ago, Tata Motors increased the prices of the Tiago, Altroz, Tigor, and Nexon. You can read about the price increase by clicking here. This upcoming price rise will not be limited to Tata’s compact cars. The Punch, Safari, Harrier, Nexon EV, and Tigor EV will also see a price revision.
Shailesh Chandra, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, 'Prices of commodities, raw material, and other input costs continue to rise. Tata Motors is compelled to increase prices of its passenger vehicles from January 2022 to offset the increasing cost pressures.'
More recently, it was the Tata Safari that saw a price hike. The automatic variants of the Tata Safari became more expensive by Rs 7,000.
