Tata Motors has announced a price hike for its lineup of passenger cars using internal combustion engines (ICE). Depending on the version, the average increase will be 1.2 percent, effective from February 1st, 2023. Growing input costs and regulatory changes are two reasons cited for the price hike by India's leading automaker. Tata Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and others will witness the price hike. After Tata revised prices in January, this will be the second price increase of 2023. Due to the same factors, the firm had previously announced the price increase. The price hike has become a ritual by manufacturers, performed several times a year. Market trends, inflation, rising input costs, and various economic considerations are some of the common reasons given by most manufacturers for the increased prices of their models.
