Tata Motors today launched the Gen X Nano in the Indian market with price starting from Rs. 1.99 lakhs while the AMT version has been priced above Rs. 2.69 lakhs.

The much awaited and much hyped Tata Gen X Nano was launched in the Indian market today. The manual transmission variant has been priced between Rs. 1.99 lakhs and Rs. 2.49 lakhs whereas the easy-to-operate AMT variant will cost somewhere between Rs. 2.69 lakhs and Rs. 2.89 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Gen X Nano will be available in five different variants – three with a four-speed manual transmission (XE, XM, XT) and two with a five-speed AMT gearbox variants (XMA, XTA) which is branded by Tata as ‘Easy Shift’ Automated Manual Transmission. The GenX Nano is powered by a 624cc, multi-point fuel injected, water cooled, naturally aspirated, 2 cylinder petrol engine. The engine produces 37.5bhp of power @ 5,500rpm and 51Nm torque @ 4,000rpm. The GenX Nano comes with a 24 litre fuel tank and delivers a fuel efficiency of 23.6 km/l and 21.9 km/l, for manual and AMT variants respectively (as per ARAI certification).

Tata Motors has also introduced a wide range of specially designed accessories for a higher degree of personalisation like Door Visors, Sunroof, Art Leather Seat Covers, Decals, Body kit, Reverse Parking Sensors, Remote Controlled Hatch Release etc., which will also be available at the dealerships.

The car will be available in seven colour schemes – Sangria Red (NEW), Persian Rose (NEW), Pearl White, Meteor Silver, Royal Gold, Dazzle Blue and Damson Purple – and will go on sale today onwards from 450 plus Tata outlets across the country.
