Just thee months after reaching the 1,000-unit milestone, the Nexon EV has now achieved the 2,000-unit sales milestone.
Tata Motors has achieved the 2,000-unit sales milestone for the Nexon EV as the company closed its November 2020 sales. Tata achieved the 1,000 unit sales milestone in August of this year, 7 months after the launch of the car. And now in a record three-month period, Tata Motors has sold another 1,000 units. It's a commendable achievement, given the current market circumstances. Tata had in fact also received an order for 150 units of the Nexon EV from the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL). After achieving its latest milestone, Tata Motors has stated that it has a 74% market share in the personal four-wheeler EV market for India.
The Tata Nexon EV is India’s most affordable electric car, with prices ranging between Rs 13.99 and Rs 16.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It's sold in three variants, namely XM, XZ, and XZ+. You can read more about each variant in detail here: Tata Nexon EV launched at Rs 13.99 lakh

Appreciating the strong response from customers, Shailesh Chandra, President – Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, 'This is a moment of great pride for us and those working with us in our journey to accelerate the adoption of EVs in India. The Tata Nexon EV, since its launch, has captured the imagination of the entire nation and has consistently led the way for the electric vehicle segment. Offering thrilling performance, connected drive experience with zero emissions, and at attractive pricing, the Nexon EV has found widespread acceptance amongst its customers. This growing demand is on the back of increased awareness, growing charging infrastructure, encouraging government incentives, breaking myths that surround EVs, and most importantly the undisputed benefits that it offers, i.e. lower operating cost. Further, with the continued support from the government in terms of incentives, such as benefits on registration, and road tax, we hope that EVs will soon become the most desirable and mainstream choice for customers in India.'
