The 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari are currently on sale in India, with prices starting at Rs 15.49 lakh and Rs 16.19 lakh, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom). Post the update for 2023, the vehicles have gained segment-leading features, such as a 12.3-inch HD infotainment unit, a motorised tailgate, a panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, ADAS, and an automatic parking brake with auto hold. As stated in earlier reports, the Tata SUVs haven't altered mechanically and possess the same 2-litre diesel engine under the hood. But, according to a fresh piece of information circulating on the internet, the domestic carmaker may offer the new turbo-petrol engine with the Harrier and Safari SUVs in the upcoming year.

For those unaware, Tata Motors showcased the new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine at this year's Auto Expo. There were significant expectations that the company would include this brand-new engine in the 2023 iterations of these flagship vehicles. Despite such expectations, the company decided not to launch the new engine. Now, speculations are rife on the internet that the new turbo-petrol will soon join the engine lineup of SUVs. Let's take a closer look at the further details on this expected new engine, and other specs of the Harrier and the Safari.
