A few years ago, Tata Motors unveiled a concept version of the Curvv, followed by a debut at the 2023 Auto Expo. The coupe SUV is expected to go on sale this year, most likely around the upcoming festive season. The Curvv will be available in both petrol and all-electric variants, just like the Punch and Nexon. The electric variant will hit the market first, followed by the internal combustion engine (ICE) model. The petrol-powered Curvv is likely to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 11 lakh, while the EV version might cost up to Rs 20 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Over the last year, several test mules of the crossover were spotted doing rounds on Indian roads. The model has been sighted yet again undergoing tests, and this time, spy photos offer us more details about its design. Read on to learn more.

Tata Curvv SUV: Exterior Details

The Curvv's sloping roofline, which is just like a coupe, is undoubtedly the main visual highlight. The design will be in line with Tata's latest SUV models, like the Harrier, Safari, Nexon, and Punch. It is built on the manufacturer's new design philosophy, featuring dual-projector LED headlamps housed inside triangular clusters at the bottom and a sleek LED strip at the top.

The test mule also has imposing wheel arches and stylish connected LED taillamps. Other design characteristics include a wide track, a shark fin antenna, and a prominent boot lid spoiler. The most recent spy photos give us a top view of the Curvv, clearly showing its panoramic sunroof.

Tata Curvv SUV: Interior

We already know from previous spy shots that the Curvv's dashboard is similar to that of the Nexon. However, the former has a different interior theme. It also has elegant central air conditioning vents below a floating touchscreen panel. Both models, like the new Harrier and Safari, get a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.

The upcoming car is expected to have features such as an electronic parking brake (EPB), ventilated front seats, powered OVRMs, touch-based HVAC controls, wireless charging, a 12.3-inch touchscreen panel, push-button start, and a 10.25-inch digital driver's display. Additionally, the Curvv will get Nexon's drive mode selector and automatic gear shifter.

Tata Curvv SUV: Safety Equipment

For safety, the model is likely to have six airbags, a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control (ESC). A complete suite of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) may also be available, which will include adaptive cruise control, autonomous braking, and lane keep assist.

Tata Curvv SUV: Specifications

The EV version of the Curvv is expected to be available in both single- and dual-motor configurations. The latter will be equipped with all-wheel drive, while the former will have a front-wheel-drive configuration. Both variants will have a 400km to 500km range on a single charge. The most recent spy photos show two test mules, at least one of which is an ICE variant with a combustion engine.

The new 1.2-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine, unveiled at Auto Expo 2023, will likely power the ICE version of the Curvv. With a peak torque of 225Nm, this motor can produce 123bhp of maximum power. The homegrown carmaker is also expected to provide the Nexon's 1.5-litre diesel engine, which can generate 260Nm of peak torque and 114bhp of power. The company will offer three gearbox options: a seven-speed DCT, a six-speed AMT, and a six-speed manual. The Coupe SUV is also expected to be available in CNG versions in the future.
