A fresh set of spy pictures of the Tata Curvv have appeared online ahead of its official launch. The SUV coupe was spotted alongside the pre-facelift Tata Nexon, indicating a larger and more dominating road presence. The upcoming Curvv, as seen in the images, features a shark fin antenna, a full-width light bar in the front, split LED headlights, a sloping roofline, flush-fitting door handles, and an integrated LED taillight system. It is equipped with a blind spot assist technology, similar to the Harrier and Safari. The new SUV coupe is set to go on sale in India before the end of 2024, with a starting price of Rs 10.50 lakh, although there is no official confirmation. The Curvv will compete with several vehicles, including the Tata Harrier, the MG Astor, the MG Hector, the Mahindra XUV700, the Kia Seltos, the Hyundai Creta, the Honda Elevate, the Citroen C3 Aircross, the Skoda Kushaq, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Toyota Hyryder, and the Volkswagen Taigun.
Tata Curvv: Features Onboard
The Tata Curvv is speculated to have an air purifier, ventilated front seats, an all-digital instrument cluster, a twin-spoke steering wheel with a lighted Tata emblem, touch-based HVAC controls, auto-dimming IRVM, and purple highlights on the dashboard (just like the Nexon).
In terms of safety, the upcoming model will likely include a 360-degree camera, up to six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Tata Curvv: Powertrain
The new Curvv is said to have the same set of engines as the Nexon. As a result, you'll get a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 118bhp and 170Nm, and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine with 113bhp and 260Nm. The transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT, and a 7-speed DCT.
Tata Curvv Showcased In Near Production Ready Avatar at Bharat Mobility
The ICE Tata Curvv was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo in a near-production-ready form. The SUV coupe had a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 113bhp, as opposed to the ICE version displayed at the Auto Expo last year. The Tata Curvv with an internal combustion engine is likely to be available by the end of 2024, after the electric version, according to market reports. There isn't much information available right now on the electrified Curvv. It is probably going to be constructed using the brand's Gen2 architecture and has a 500-kilometre range.
