The much-awaited Tata Curvv will hit the compact SUV market in India in the second half of 2024. It is undergoing extensive testing ahead of its launch. Recently, we spotted a fresh test mule of the Curvv and it revealed several significant design details regarding the upcoming car. The Tata model will feature connected LED DRLs and taillights, which were also seen in the pre-production concept. These taillights, like those on several facelifted Tata cars including the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari, are probably going to have welcome and goodbye animations coupled with a sequential effect for the turn indicators. Other exterior components will include new alloy wheels, a shark-fin antenna, a coupe-esque silhouette, flush-fitting door handles, and a split headlamp setup.

Tata Curvv: Interior and Features
The earlier spy photos indicate that the Curvv's dashboard resembles that of the Nexon, but the former has a different interior theme. It also receives a comparable design, with a floating touchscreen panel above the elegant central air conditioning vents. The steering wheel, however, is a four-spoke one with an illuminated Tata emblem, as seen on top SUV models such as the new Harrier and Safari.
Features-wise, the upcoming car will likely come with amenities like a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, touch-based HVAC controls, dual-zone climate control, and an electronic parking brake (EPB). Furthermore, the Curvv will be equipped with the same drive mode selector and automatic gear shifter as the Nexon.
The model's safety features will probably comprise six airbags, a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control (ESC). It might also incorporate a full range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as lane keep assist, autonomous braking, and adaptive cruise control.
Tata Curvv: Powertrain Options
The Tata Curvv is expected to be powered by the same engines as the Nexon: a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 118bhp of maximum power and 170Nm of peak torque, and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with 113bhp and 260Nm. The gearbox options will be a six-speed manual, a six-speed AMT, and a seven-speed DCT.

Tata Curvv: Expected Price
Most likely, in the latter half of 2024, the Tata Curvv will be seen on Indian roads. First to go on sale will be the electric vehicle (EV) model, then the internal combustion engine (ICE) model. The ICE Curvv may retail for between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 11 lakh, while the EV may cost up to Rs 20 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. There are plans for a CNG powertrain as well. Upon arrival, both Tata Curvv variants will join the other mid-sized SUVs in their respective segments and rival the likes of the Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG ZS EV, and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
