Tata Motors has begun deliveries of its electrified SUV Coupe, the Curvv, in India, which is priced between Rs 17.49 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh (both ex-showroom). After the Punch EV, the Curvv is the second electric model to be based on the company's acti.ev architecture. It has five variants (Creative, Accomplished, Accomplished+ S, Empowered+, and Empowered+ A), and two battery pack options. The SUV Coupe also has an ICE counterpart, which is set to release on September 2, 2024. Tata Curvv EV: Battery and Range
The Curvv has a liquid-cooled Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMS) and two battery configurations: 45kWh and 55kWh. The motor generates 148bhp in the former and 165bhp in the latter. The torque of 215Nm, however, is identical in both units. The smaller battery is available in Accomplished,Creative, and Accomplished+ S models, whereas the larger one comes with the Accomplished, Accomplished+ S, Empowered+, and Empowered+ A variants. The range of these battery packs stands at 502 kilometres (45kWh) and 585 kilometres (55kWh), respectively.
Tata Curvv EV: Design and Features
Alongside the coupe-like silhouette, the electrified Curvv boasts a range of striking design elements such as connected LED DRLs with greeting and farewell animations, a blanked-off grille with a charging port, flush-fitted door handles (first introduced by Tata), and 18-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts. Features-wise, the SUV Coupe has a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, front-ventilated seats, a JBL sound system, a 12.3-inch free-floating infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, auto-dimming IRVM (inside rearview mirrors), ambient lighting, a touch-enabled AC panel, front ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).

Tata Curvv EV: Other Details
Bookings of the EV have been underway since August 12 for Rs 21,000. In terms of market competition, the Tata SUV Coupe competes with the BYD Atto 3, the Tata Nexon EV, and the Mahindra XUV400.
