Tata Motors has reduced prices across its lineup of passenger cars excluding the Nano. The Indica,Vista, Manza and Indigo will now see a price reduction which will range from Rs. 30000 – Rs 50000 . The Tata Manza which is currently available in two engine options, a 1.3-litre 90bhp Quadrajet diesel and 90bhp Safire petrol will now cost Rs. 5.99 lakh for the base LS trim as compared to its earlier price tag of Rs. 6.49 lakh.
Similarly the LX variant which comes with the optional touchscreen navigation system will now be priced at Rs. 6.54 lakhs, close to Rs. 40000 less than before. The VX which includes all the equipment from the LX, with the addition of ABS will cost Rs. 7.19 lakhs as opposed to the Rs. 7.55 lakh earlier.
The EX variant, which is the top-end model, too gets a price revision of Rs. 30,000 and now the top-end variant is priced at Rs. 8.14 lakhs (Rs. 8.44 lakhs earlier) The slash in prices however will not apply to the UV’s of the company and in fact these cars – the Safari Storme, Aria and Sumo – are about to get dearer by Rs. 35,000.
