Tata Altroz XM and XM (S): Engine and Features
The XM and XM (S) come with features that were previously exclusive to more expensive models. An electric sunroof on the XM(S) model is also a noteworthy addition. According to Tata Motors, this new model makes the Altroz the most economical premium hatchback to receive this feature.
Both variants will only be offered with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine and a manual transmission. A host of features are included in the Altroz XM model, such as steering-mounted controls, a height-adjustable driver seat, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, R16 complete wheel covers, and an upscale dashboard. The XM(S), on the other hand, takes luxury up a notch with the electric sunroof. Buyers also get an option to further improve these variants by opting for a larger infotainment system from the Tata Motors' accessories catalogue.
Additionally, the manufacturer has made remote keyless entry and four power windows standard on all Altroz manual petrol models. The previous-generation Altroz 1.2 Revotron Petrol Manual models have received several additions as well. Rear power windows and remote keyless entry with follow-me-home lamps will now be included with the XE variation, while the XM+/XM(S) will also have a reverse camera, a driver seat height adjuster, cruise control, and a premium dashboard layout. The XT model will also feature a rear defogger, R16 Hyperstyle alloys, and a driver seat height adjustable.
