Tata Motors has updated the Altroz portfolio with the launch of two new higher-spec variants in India – the XZ LUX and the XZ+S LUX. Priced at Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom), the former adds a 10.25-inch touchscreen along with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay as well as a 360-degree camera. Meanwhile, the latter, which is available at Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom), also gets six airbags over what the XZ LUX offers. Notably, both these variants are offered in a choice of petrol-manual, petrol-DCT, diesel-MT, and CNG-MT powertrains.

Moreover, Tata has upgraded the top-spec XZ+ OS variant of the Altroz hatchback. Carrying a revised price tag of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Altrox XZ+ OS now also includes Tata's iRA-connected car tech and an air purifier. Other features are auto climate control, cruise control, rear AC vents, rain-sensing wipers, and auto headlamps. However, it misses out on leatherette seats. In terms of the powertrain, it continues to be the petrol variant in the Altroz line-up.

Under the hood, the Tata Altroz gets a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The former makes 87bhp and 115Nm of maximum torque, while the latter belts out 89bhp and 200Nm of peak torque. When running on CNG, the petrol-powered hatchback generates 103Nm of torque and 77bhp.
