The Suzuki Hustler is a compact SUV that belongs to Japan's Kei car segment, well-known for its small cars. Although not many people in India are familiar with the Suzuki Hustler, the carmaker has begun testing the model on our shores. On social media, spy photos of the compact SUV under test close to New Delhi have surfaced, sparking rumours that it would be sold here by Maruti Suzuki. Even though Jimny, Brezza, and Fronx are already on sale here, the automaker believes there is still scope for more. It has a distinctive design reminiscent of Jimny and the WagonR. Because the test mule was undisguised, several design elements are visible in the spy shots. The Hustler branding and the Suzuki logo, however, were removed from the test mule.

Suzuki Hustler: Design, Dimensions, Powertrain, and More
The Suzuki Hustler, a traditional Japanese Kei vehicle, debuted in its native market in 2014. It is comparable in size to the Maruti Suzuki Alto and MG Comet EV. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle has a wheelbase of 2,400mm and a length of 3,300mm. It is currently available on the international market. It could be the same size as the global-spec model. It will, however, need to be larger than the existing version if the manufacturer is to introduce this product in our market.
Maruti Suzuki, the Indian division of Suzuki, may release a somewhat longer and more practical version of the Japanese-spec Hustler to appeal to a wider range of buyers in India, much like the original three-door Jimny. Increased length will mean a larger boot and extra interior space, particularly for backseat passengers.

Design-wise, the Hustler features a flat roofline, tall pillars, and a boxy appearance. The 15-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels accentuate the squarish wheel arches with heavy claddings, providing an appealing look. It has a huge glass pane in a flat tailboard located in the back. Round headlamps and a sleek radiator grille with chrome accents are prominent features at the front, however, they are hidden from sight in the most recent spy photos.
Additional eye-catching features of the Hustler are the roof rails, pull-style door handles, and large front and rear bumpers, which give the micro UV a muscular appearance. As a Kei car, the Hustler is propelled by a 660cc petrol engine, producing 48bhp of maximum power when running on a naturally aspirated (NA) unit and 64bhp, when running on a turbocharged mill. A CVT automatic gearbox is employed as standard with the option of all-wheel drive.
