Suzuki's new hatchback, the Baleno is showcased for the first time to the public at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show
While images of the car were revealed by the company, Suzuki has finally showcased its new Baleno hatchback to the world at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Designed to be a modern vehicle in sync with the times, the new Baleno is spacious, come packed with Suzuki’s latest technologies and have a contemporary appearance with a new ‘Liquid Flow’ design concept. Further enhancing practicality is its 355 litre boot.
Suzuki has designed their new model to be powered by as new an engine as the car itself. As a result, the new Suzuki Baleno will be powered by a new 1.0 litre BoosterJet petrol engine that features direct fuel injection and turbo charging. The car will also feature the company’s new SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) mild hybrid system that will help boost the car’s fuel efficiency.
Maruti Suzuki has already started production of the Baleno in India. Although, these are export models and it will be sometime before the car is launched in India.
Suzuki will also be taking its new Vitara model forward internationally with the introduction of an S variant that has been showcased at Frankfurt. The new Suzuki Vitara S will be powered by a 1.4 litre, direct injection and turbocharged BoosterJet petrol engine and will be placed performance oriented model of the Vitara and will be the most expensive variant of the model.
In line with its character, Suzuki has given the new Vitara S a host of sporty touches such as red accents throughout the interior which also gets leather and suede like seats. Other equipment aboard this top-end Vitara includes LED head lamps, Radar Brake Support (RBS) autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control as standard amongst other equipment. The Suzuki Vitara S is will be sold with a choice of seven shades and two-tone colour options.
