Suzuki has just unveiled its latest commuter concept car at the 30th Thailand International Motor Expo. The small concept car is being called as the Suzuki A-Wind concept and from the looks of it this car will surely make its way to India soon. Although it is a concept the A-Wind looks production ready and it closely resembles the dimensions of the Wagon R as it stands at 1540mm high, but surprisingly it is only 3600mm long.

According to Suzuki, the A-Wind is so named because it seeks to bring a fresh wind to the A-segment as a global compact car and it embodies the expertise that Suzuki have in building compact cars. The concept comes fitted with a 996cc 3-cylinder engine that is also mated to a CVT transmission, but when and if the car comes to India we would most likely see the CVT as an option.

Other than the main body of the car, the front grille is very distinct and different than the conventional grilles we have seen on other small cars from Suzuki. There is however an improvement in the overall shape of the car thanks to the character lines that extend along the sides to give the Suzuki A-Wind Concept an air of quality far superior to that expected in a basic model.

The interiors have also been cleverly designed with a bright elegant beige that nicely complements the exterior yellow colour of the concept car and exudes the air of quality you expect of a global compact. There is also an improvement in space and comfort. The production ready version of this car will be ready and up for sale sometime in 2014, and we can expect to see it at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo as well.
