Kia has decided to increase the prices of all its cars and SUVs by as much as 2% in January 2025. This adjustment is attributed to growing commodity prices and supply chain expenses. Kia's decision is in line with other major automakers, who will also increase the prices of their models starting the new year. For example, Maruti Suzuki plans to raise the price of its cars by up to 4% (depending on the model), while Mahindra and Tata Motors are set to increase prices by up to 3%.

In addition to mass-market brands, premium, and luxury automakers are set to hike prices in our market. Notably, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz cars will be costlier by up to 3% from the next month.

Coming back to Kia, the South Korean automaker has sold over 16 lakh vehicles in India and internationally to date. The Seltos stands out as the company’s best-selling model, with more than 6.70 lakh units sold. It is accompanied by the Sonet (4.80 lakh units), the Carens (2.14 lakh units), and the Carnival (15,000 units).

Commenting on the price adjustment, Hardeep Singh Brar, Sr. Vice President, – Sales and Marketing, Kia India said, 'At Kia, we are committed to delivering exceptional, technologically advanced vehicles of the highest quality to our valued customers. However, due to the persistent rise in commodity prices, unfavorable exchange rates, and increased input costs, a necessary price adjustment has become unavoidable. Despite these challenges, Kia is absorbing a significant portion of the cost increase, minimizing the financial impact on our customers, so they can continue enjoying their favorite Kia vehicles without a major dent on their pockets.'
