Skywell 'Q' Electric Hatchback: Battery Pack and Range
The new model from the Chinese manufacturer will come with two battery pack options. Although their specific capacities are still under wraps, it is confirmed that the larger battery will provide the hatchback with a range of just over 482 km on a full charge. All Q variants house a single electric motor, powering the front wheels and generating 201bhp of maximum power. Skywell claims the Q can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The brand will also provide DC fast charging capabilities, allowing the flagship model to recharge from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes.

The Q has an appealing design, measuring 4,297mm in length, 1,836mm in width, and 1,536mm in height. It features a striking front end with an LED light bar and a darkened lower grille. The car's side profile stands out due to bold creases on the doors and small vertical slits positioned just behind the front wheel arches. Other noteworthy design features showcased at the Paris event include side skirts and a rear diffuser that appears to be built from faux forged carbon fibre. The Q is also equipped with aerodynamic wheel covers for improved efficiency and a rear LED light bar.
Skywell 'Q' Electric Hatchback: Interior Details
The interior of the model features a 15.6-inch touchscreen display, a Skyroof, and a 360-degree panoramic parking camera. On top of that, the cabin showcases composite fibre paneling, 128-colour ambient lighting, a wireless charging pad, and orange accents. The infotainment system is enhanced by a Metz sound system engineered in Germany, wireless smartphone integration, and rear-seat touchscreen displays. In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with Intelligent Cruise Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Intelligent Speed Assist.

Skywell has stated that the Q will be offered at a competitive price point when UK specifications are announced, likely ahead of its anticipated release next year. The Q will have a seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty, complemented by an eight-year or 155,000-mile warranty for the battery.
