The Skoda Vision 7S electric SUV concept will be revealed on 30th August.
Skoda as a carmaker has always looked to be ‘Simply Clever’, and that ideology was brought to front last year when they revealed interior sketches of its Vision 7S concept SUV. It showed a new interior design, and held the promise for a new exterior design language for Skoda. Now, the Czech carmaker has revealed what the exterior of the Vision 7S concept is going to look like, albeit in sketches. The full reveal of the electric SUV concept is reserved for 30th August.
From the current Skoda design, the only thing you will find has made its way onto the Vision 7S concept is the power dome in the bonnet – an element that has long been associated with Skoda cars. Apart from that, everything is pretty much new. Thin LEDs flank the front end on either side, with twin0chamber headlights stacked vertically underneath them. The typical front grille has been replaced by a black slab that adds a bit of mass to the front-end, making it look chunkier. The most off-beat element here are the seven slots that appear on what is the skid plate of the Vision 7S.
The concept, like most concepts, has a low-roof design, and it will be interesting to see if that makes it to production. Secondly, the wheels too are just for show and as Skoda moves towards the production version of this electric SUV, we believe a more sensible size will come into play. As far as the interior goes, we have covered it extensively in a previous story, which you can check out here.
More details about the electric capabilities of the SUV will be revealed once it’s shown to the public in flesh, on 30th August.
