Just like the Kushaq Monte Carlo, the Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo will come with a host of cosmetic modifications.
Skoda Auto India has finally confirmed the launch of the Slavia Monte Carlo in India. The model is expected to come to India in the coming months and could be ₹ 50,000 more expensive than the existing variants. It will also be available in top-end variants just like the Kushaq. The most affordable Slavia variant is the 1.0 TSI Active, which costs around ₹ 11.29 lakh, and the most expensive variant is the Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI Style DSG, which costs around ₹ 18.40 lakh. All figures are ex-showroom.
The upcoming model will be powered by either a 1.5-litre inline-four turbocharged gasoline engine or a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine. The former produces 148bhp and 250Nm, while the latter offers 112bhp and 178Nm of torque. It will have three transmission options – a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
The new Slavia Monte Carlo will get some cosmetic alterations. The radiator grille, fog lamp housing, outside rearview mirrors, and the 'Skoda' and 'Slavia' lettering at the back may all be finished in gloss black. Furthermore, the roof will probably be also finished in black.
The special edition may arrive with an all-black cabin, along with vivid red inserts on the doors and dashboard. It is expected that the cabin will have metal-based pedals and red-and-black dual-tone upholstery.
In May this year, the Czech automaker launched Kushaq Monte Carlo. And now, the firm is set to add a new name to its Monte Carlo editions by launching the Slavia Monte Carlo, which will come with a host of value-added features – ventilated front seats, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a sub-woofer, and a lot more.
