Skoda Auto India marks the celebration of completing a year in India by launching two Anniversary Editions of its popular cars – the Slavia sedan and Kushaq SUV. Prices for the new Skoda Slavia Anniversary Edition start at Rs 17.28 lakh in India. The Skoda Kushaq Lava Blue Edition, on the other hand, has an introductory cost of Rs 18 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Last year, the automaker hinted at the launch of special editions of the Slavia and Kushaq in India. Now, the carmaker has unveiled the models for our market. In terms of the powertrain, the updated models will get a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine. Let's have a look at the updates of these newly launched anniversary editions in the country.
Skoda Slavia, Kushaq Anniversary Editions: What's New?
The Lava Blue hue has been a popular colour option for the Skoda Octavia, Superb sedans, and Kodiaq 4x4 in the market. Now, this shade will be available for the first time for Skoda India's 2.0 cars. According to the carmaker, the Slavia Anniversary Edition will sport safety and comfort features available with the Style version with a few additions. In the line-up, the Slavia Anniversary Edition will be positioned above the top-of-the-line Style model. The recently launched Kushaq Edition, on the other hand, will be positioned between the Monte Carlo and the Kushaq Style variants.

The new editions of the Slavia and Kushaq get mudflaps at the front and the back. Further, the front grille ribs have received a chrome treatment. There is a chrome garnish along the lower section of the doors and on the trunk. While the Kushaq has an ‘Edition’ plaque at the B-pillar, the Slavia gets a foil with ‘Anniversary Edition’ branding. Further, these recently launched editions will also get headrest pillows and textile mats. While the pillows in the Slavia get an 'Anniversary Edition' inscription, the pillows in the Kushaq have an 'Edition' inscription.
Inside, the Slavia has an 'Anniversary Edition' scuff plate and an ‘Anniversary Edition’ badge on the steering wheel. In the driver's footwell area of the Slavia Anniversary edition, there are Alu pedals. Further, the Slavia also gets a 380-watt stereo system and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Aside from the new paint scheme, ‘Edition’ badging on the B-pillar, chrome-finished front grille, puddle lamps, lower chrome garnish, and a few other changes, the new Kushaq Edition is the same as the base model. Inside, 'Kushaq' is inscribed on the scuff plate of the all-new Kushaq Edition.
Skoda Slavia, Kushaq Anniversary Editions: Powertrain
The new editions of the Kushaq and Slavia will draw power from a 1.5-litre EVO-generation four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, capable of churning out 148bhp and 250Nm. It will come mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. This engine complies with the E20 fuel and the brand-new RDE and BS6 Phase 2 emission standards. According to the carmaker, the RDE- and E20-complaint engine has boosted the fuel efficiency of the Slavia Edition by up to 5% and of the Kushaq Edition by up to 7%.

Skoda Slavia, Kushaq Anniversary Editions: Price
The Skoda Slavia Anniversary Edition MT costs Rs 17.28 lakh, whereas the Slavia Anniversary Edition AT is priced at Rs 18.68 lakh. The Skoda Kushaq Edition, on the other hand, comes with a price tag of Rs 18 lakh for the manual transmission version and Rs 19.19 lakh for the automatic transmission variant. All prices are ex-showroom.
