It has been confirmed that the new Skoda Octavia will debut on June 10. Based on a new platform, packing new drivetrains, and a longer list of features than its predecessor, are some common things to expect from the new notchback
The launch date for the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia has been confirmed and the notchback in its newest form will be launched on June 10, 2021. According to the first launch schedule, the fourth-generation Octavia was supposed to make its debut by the last week of April 2021. Due to the rise in nationwide pandemic and a difficult medical situation, Skoda India delayed the launch by a month.
Skoda India also announced that the production of the 4th gen Skoda Octavia begun in the first week of April at its Aurangabad facility. The Skoda Octavia will be made available by the CKD route demanding a premium price tag. The prices are expected to range between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom), and along with the standard car, Skoda could introduce the Onyx and the L&K variants. There is a slim chance of Skoda offering the Sportline variant – a similar trim to what we have seen in the Skoda Superb Sportline – with the Octavia that could sit below the L&K and above the Onyx.
The Octavia will be offered with a 2.0-litre, both turbo-petrol, mated to a dual-clutch automatic transmission. There is a slim chance of a six-speed manual to be offered as well. There will be no diesel engine to choose from. In the D-segment sedan market, it is only the Hyundai Elantra that is offered with a diesel variant.
