Skoda India has silently tweaked the feature list of the two of its sedans on sale. With additional features, the sedans have become pricer as well.
Skoda silently updated the feature list of the Octavia and the Superb. Both the sedans get minor interior tweaks and that has resulted in a substantial price hike.
Speaking of the Skoda Octavia that was launched early this year. The sedan now gets an anti-theft alarm in both the Style and the L&K variant. The interior of the Octavia is now finished in Suedia Beige theme and there is a new Graphite Grey exterior colour to chose from. The new price of the Octavia Style variant now starts at Rs 26.29 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 30,000 higher than before. Similarly, the L&K variant now costs Rs 29.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
The flagship sedan, the Skoda Superb also gets a new feature onboard. The driver seat now gets a massage function and the overall interior theme has been turned to Cognac leather. The manufacturer has also added two new colour options called the Brilliant Silver and the Graphite Grey. The Skoda Superb Sportline is now priced at Rs 32.85 lakh (ex-showroom) and the L&K variant is priced at Rs 35.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Both these prices are higher by Rs 86,000 compared to the previous pricing.
Both the sedans come with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor tuned to push out 187bhp and 320Nm. Both the cars are equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox; however, the Octavia is the one that gets a more sophisticated (wet-clutch) gearbox setup.
