Skoda is set to unveil its highly anticipated Kylaq SUV on November 6, marking a significant addition to its lineup. Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, the Kylaq shares its foundation with models like the Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. The SUV is expected to feature a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, paired with manual and automatic transmission options. While closely related to other models in Skoda's range, the Kylaq is expected to come with distinct design elements and updated features. As excitement builds for the official reveal, this new compact SUV is positioned to offer a blend of performance, practicality, and technology tailored for the Indian market.

Skoda Kylaq SUV: Design Elements
The Skoda Kylaq, while being a sub-4-metre SUV, will incorporate several design elements from its larger sibling, the Kushaq. There have been a few teasers and spy images, suggesting the grille and side window line will be similar to the Kushaq. The Kylaq will, however, feature a new split LED lighting configuration, with the LED DRLs above the headlights. Inverted L-shaped LED taillights will be installed at the rear end.
Skoda Kylaq SUV: Features
When it comes to features, the SUV is expected to boast amenities like a powered driver's seat, a fully digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, three-point seat belts and reminders, telematics, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ventilated seats, leatherette upholstery, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB Type-C charging ports, six airbags, multiple driving modes, cooled glove box, ABS with EBD, a single-pane sunroof, an electronic stability programme (ESP), a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, hill start assist, a wireless charging pad, an air purifier, and auto headlamps and wipers.
Skoda Kylaq SUV: Mechanical Setup
As part of Skoda's strategy, the upcoming Kylaq will utilise the existing MQB-A0-IN platform, though with certain adjustments. This architecture is already used by models such as the Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun, along with Skoda’s Slavia and Kushaq. Furthermore, the Kylaq will house the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 114bhp and 178Nm of peak torque. This powertrain will be available with both a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic gearbox. However, it seems unlikely that the Czech car manufacturer will equip the Kylaq with the larger 1.5-litre TSI Evo engine.
